2021 Hate Crime Report

The 2021 Hate Crime Report issued by the LA County Commission on Human Relations has been released.

This report analyzes hate crimes and incidents as they relate to race, sexuality, religion, gender, and disability, the areas and groups in which we see high concentrations of hate and more. In 2021, the report found that there was a 23% increase in hate crimes and violent incidents in LA County with targeted groups primarily consisting of community members who identify as Black, Asian, Jewish, and Transexual.
